    Girls' and Boys' Recreational Gymnastics

Our girls' and boys' recreational gymnastics program is fun and beneficial for school-age children who want to develop coordination, strength, flexibility, spatial awareness, and confidence.  Gymnastics is a great way for children to become fit in this era in which too many children do not exercise enough. During girls' and boys' recreational gymnastics classes, students will use every muscle group while learning skills and having fun.  Students who participate in other sports will find that gymnastics classes will enhance their performance in those sports as they develop the flexibility and strength they need to succeed in those sports.  Girls and boys are separated in the full recreational gymnastics classes because they use different apparatus (girls use uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise, and vault; whereas boys use high bar, pommel horse, floor exercise, rings, parallel bars, and vault).  However, girls and boys are combined in our Tumbling classes, offered for students who are interested in working only on tumbling skills.

Girls Rec Beginner (Girls ages 6 years and older)

The Girls Rec Beginner class at Phenomenal Flips Gymnastics USA is geared to the beginning school age gymnast.  Gymnasts will learn basic flexibility, strength, and gymnastics skills in a fun, energetic environment that will also emphasize the importance of developing excellent communication skills.  Gymnasts will use all four apparatus (vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise).
